Domesday Reloaded: Turvey | In 1986, 900 years after William the Conqueror’s original Domesday Book, the BBC published the Domesday Project, an ambitious attempt to capture the essence of life in the United Kingdom. People were asked to record what they thought would be of interest in another 1000 years. The results were stored on laser discs but the technology to read these was very expensive and didn't catch on. To prevent it from being lost, the information captured by the project was uploaded to the BBC website, then later transferred to the National Archive site. |
Turvey Amateur Theatrical Society (TATS) | TATS staged their first production in 1979 and put on two or three plays, musicals or revues every year. |

We first made Turvey News available online in the summer of 2020 during the first COVID lockdown, because we weren’t sure whether it would be possible to get it printed and distributed. It proved to be a great success, so we've continued to publish the digital version, as well as print and deliver the paper copies. Most of the digital editions are available here, simply click the link below to read or download.
